User-Friendly Operation
Simply pressing the button on the turtle's shell ignites the stars and keeps them glowing for a full 45 minutes--just enough time for most children to drift into sleep. At this point, the Twilight Turtle automatically shuts off to preserve battery life. Another push of the button reactivates the projection. In addition, the easy selection of the three soothing color choices allows your child not only to learn to identify different colors, but also to truly experience them as well. Bought this for my infant who is six months old. While she can't say she likes it, she goes to sleep much easier with it on. I think the ladybug itself is cute, and it's nice to have the three different color settings. The red is hard to see (not sure if it's because of the color of her room) but I have it sitting on the footstool to her rocker and the room is illuminated with stars. I think it's neat, I would buy one for our room if I didn't think my husband would call me crazy :-)
I think it will be appreciated as she gets older- I know I would have thought it was the bees knees if I had one as a child.

I bought 2 of these turtles. One for my sister-in-law (who recently lost her husband) and one was for my 2 year old grandson. Out of the two, I don't know who likes it the best. My sister-in-law said it is very soothing to her and her dogs since the loss of her husband and my grandson just oohs and awes over it. His mother said bedtime is no longer a problem. This product is just awesome.

I purchased this product for my 2 year old son. It is now his best friend. A+ on durability, it has been dragged, dropped, and stepped on and it still works like a champ. He knows the names of all of the animals around the outside of the shell and has made a game of naming then as he hits the button to scan through them. The booklet that came with it is now part of our nightly reading to teach him about endangered species. I love the automatic turn off after 45 minutes because it sleeps at the end of his bed. It doesn't get hot or even warm that I can tell, another A+. It is also a very gental light that is not to bright, just enough. Love it, Love it.

I bought this on recommendation from a friend to give to my niece. I ordered one for each of them. Both girls ADORED their turtle light and even NAMED it. According to their parents, bed time has become much easier and something the girls both look forward to now that they have a fun friend to light up the 'night sky' as the sleep.
One niece is 4 and the other is 6 1/2. The older niece spotted Orion's belt immediately and was eager to find the other constellations. I was a happy aunt seeing my nieces enjoying their new turtle constellation light.

Great gift for a baby shower, this night light puts a soft glow in the room that makes it easy to see and lets the baby sleep. When they get older they love the stars on the ceiling.
