Haba makes the most wonderful wooden toys. These blocks are extremely durable -- the paint never chips -- and they are gorgeous to touch and feel and look at. I might like them better than my daughter! They are also unusual and I believe inspire creativity. I highly recommend these blocks.

I bought these blocks for my 18-month-old granddaughter. She seems delighted with the bright colors and patterns, and the many creative ways they can be stacked. The set is of very high quality, well worth the price. One note of caution, though: Close adult supervision is needed for a child as young as my granddaughter. These blocks look good enough to eat, and there are 2-3 smaller pieces that may pose a choking hazard.

My two year old loves these and picks them out over the other blocks we bought him. They are durable and have bright colors and every block is different.

These blocks are beautifully made. Unlike other blocks that I've bought for my little girl (18 months), these have beautiful shapes and designs that I know will stimulate her imagination better than the usual square blocks that I had when I was a child. Yes, a few of the blocks (4 total) are too small for a child her age - those are sitting in her closet and will be pulled out when she is ready. In the meantime, the rest of the set is more than enough to keep her occupied.
